Already on his knees, sobbing uncontrollably. Regardless of how much they actually knew each other, Lieutenant Dominic Sorel was his big brother, and then he shook his head, “No! No h-he can..can’t be..” but he knew it was true. Anemone wouldn’t lie about that. She wouldn’t tell him his big brother was dead, it just …didn’t seem real, thats all. The truth hurt his heart to no extent. Forcing himself off the ground, he brought the back of his hand to his cheek, to wipe the tears from his dirt-stained cheek, which was now stained with tears, as well. “Th-That idiot..” he sniffed, quietly.
Anemone’s frown began to fade when he finally got up from the floor and it was replaced with a soft, almost relieved smile. “Y-Yeah,” She nodded before sitting down completely and wiping her own eyes. “I know right…? He’s always been so dumb…” She let out a little laugh, feeling her eyes water again just at the thought of the Lieutenant. The pinkette gave a little sigh before looking up, her hands now resting her lap. “…I moved on a long time ago Renton…it will be hard but…I know you can do it too,”
As she mentioned that she’d moved on a long time ago, he nodded once, “That’s good, Anemone..It’s not good to dwell on the past. I of all people should know that, right?” he said, a light laugh escaping his lips. He reached up once more, wiping the remnants of his tears away. His face was beyond dirty. He actually hadn’t showered in days. Him and Eureka hadn’t really had the opportunity yet, since the last stretch of their travel only had pit stops. He sighed, “I know I’ll move on soon…I just..” he sighed, rubbing his face with both hands this time, “There’s so much I wanted to catch up on, ya know?” he said, looking at her, as her eyes kind of wandered off to nothing.

Renton’s smile instantly turned into a look of surprise, shock, and then immediately afterwards, horror, and sadness, “W-Wh..What?” he gulped, choking on his saliva. Renton fell to his knees, staring into nothing. D-Dominic? W-Was dead? No..It..It couldn’t be..“D-Dominic? He..He’s gone? Like..gone forever?” he asked. He had began to hyperventilate, and grabbed his chest, falling forewords. This..this couldn’t be happening. Dominic had been like a brother to him, even in the brief, and little time they had spent together. Even Anemone and he weren’t close, but Eureka had felt a strong connection to her, and now that he’d become one with Eureka, so did he, so to hear that something to horrible, and tragic had happened, the news sent Renton into shock, almost instantly.
He looked up at her, tears welling in his eyes, “Th-That can’t be true, Anemone..T-Tell me it’s not true!” he shouted, tears now pouring from his eyes, “It’s..” he gasped, holding his chest still. He put the back of his hand up to his eyes, and began to sob. Anemone wouldn’t lie to him, and he knew it. She had no reason to. He sat there, one palm on the ground bringing the other back to his chest, where his heart pounded in his chest. Why hadn’t he been there? Was..this his fault? “I-I could have ..could I have done something?” he gasped. No, he couldn’t have. LFO accidents happened all the time, but he was hurting.
The second the boy’s expression changed, Anemone felt her heart break for a second time in a while. She touched her hands to her lips for a moment, trying not to cry herself but they swelled from her eyes quickly because of him, like some sort of chain reaction. “Y-Yes…” She answered with another choke behind her hands. Anemone moved her hands away from her lips and reached out for him as she knelt down. She really wished she didn’t have to break the news to him—but it couldn’t be helped. He’d asked about it and Anemone wasn’t big on lying anymore.
“I-I’m sorry Renton…” She shook her head. “But I can’t tell you that…because i-it’s true.” Anemone tried and wanted to comfort him but just mentioning it and remembering that day nearly brought her into the same state as he was in. She sat down in front of him and put her face in her hands too, trying not to cry as much. Dominic never would’ve wanted her to shed this amount tears…she already did after it happened. “I…I don’t think you could have.” She said in a whisper. “You and Eureka were long gone…and Dominic was just being…stubborn.” She closed her eyes and shook her head, just wishing that this could have never happened. But that was fate…how cruel fate was…wasn’t it?”

Attention all Eureka Seven Roleplayers. I, and my Eureka and Anemone, are looking for other Gekko state members to roleplay with. If you have an independent account, and would like to kind of join our little circle, we’d highly appreciate it. :) Even a Dominic would be nice. I would like to add that we’re fairly decently experienced roleplayers, and would prefer a little more experienced, but we know not everyone in the RP world is, so we are pretty open about it, so regardless of experience, please! Don’t hesitate to talk. I, of course, play Renton, and my Eureka and Anemone play theirs (and me) according to the end of the anime, after Renton and Eureka leave. Just so you’re aware. :) Thank you!
